The scan averaging technology is a first for a magnetron radar. It filters out sea clutter and interference to enhance the detection and display of constant targets. Pulse expansion and angular target-size processing techniques optimize on-screen object shapes for better interpretation at all range scales. The 60 RPM rotation speed has a faster screen refresh rate making this radar great when traveling at high speeds and also detects boats coming towards you sooner. The 24xhd3 automatically adjust levels to optimum settings for harbors, near shore and offshore in open waters taking the guess work out of your settings for the specific location. The Dual range overlay provides a split screen with side-by-side images on your compatible chartplotter. You can independently control the range settings for both close and long range.

Overlay the radar image on your compatible chartplotter and you can track up to 30 targets to help avoid collisions with MARPA target tracking (with appropriate sensors, sold separately). Variable range markers and electronic bearing lines allow rapid measurements of distance and bearing to vessels and land. The radar has a guard zone feature allowing you to receive an alarm when an object enters the zone. Locate flocks of birds at the water’s surface with the auto bird gain feature. The 24xhd3 radar is a great addition to your Garmin network.
