Garmin upgraded not only the screen size to an 8” display, but also the display resolution from the original TREAD offering an even clearer display image. The Display isn’t the only upgrade, there are many more like 64GB of internal memory and an upgraded more durable housing built to MIL-STD-810. The built in altimeter, barometer and compass help you judge your pitch and roll to navigate challenging terrain.

With Group Ride Radio functionality, you’re able to keep in voice communication (Mic Included) with everyone in your crew and even track up to 20 other riders. The typical range depending on your terrain and other variables is about 1 mile. The included Birdseye satellite imagery gives you a better perspective of where everyone is in your group, relative to your location.

Get even more out of the Tread SxS edition from the improved and expanded trail database. Garmin has added map content from OSM and USFS Motor vehicles along with their proprietary City Navigator Road maps making this TREAD unstoppable for navigating on gravel, mud, rock or pavement!

Garmin is continually improving the Tread Series with the release of periodic software updates. Software updates are free of charge and available through Garmin Express.
